Action for which recommended :-
|
|
On March 26, 54 Coln were attacking THETKEGYIN all day from the
North. Major WHITE, commanding the Rifle Sqn, on two separate
occasions led attacks right up to the enemy's foxhole positions
under intense fire. His dash and leadership and complete disregard
of danger caused these positions to be taken. Major WHITE had the
use of only one arm, the other being broken and in plaster from a
recent accident.
