During the attack on point 2171 overlooking TAUNGNI, on Jul 9th '44 Rfn. GUPTA BAHADUR KHANDKA charged an enemy LMG posn firing his LMG from the hip and cleared it. He then gave covering fire for his section to advance. This man's courage and offensive spirit have been marked throughout the campaign. I recommend him for the award
