Action for which recommended -

Sgt Roberts was Coln Medical Sgt during the whole of the Campaign from 5 March, 1944 until evacuation of the Coln from BURMA in mid July.

On the night of 5/6 March 1944, during glider landings at BROADWAY this N.C.O, did invaluable work tending wounded men and assisting in rescuing wounded from smashed gliders, many times risking his life whilst doing so.

His conduct this night was only an example of his work during the rest of the campaign. Never sparing himself, he gave his utmost at all times, showing great courage and devotion to duty.
